Topic: ipaddress conflict dhcp

chillispot is assigning 2 laptops (they are both acer laptops) the same ip address. when i look into /var/log/freeradius/radacct/...

I see 2 users both have the same station ID. I checked thier mac addresses. and they are both different.
they are both running windows vista.

Please help!

Re: ipaddress conflict dhcp

ok i figured out the issue. the accesspoint im using is what chillispot is using as the mac address.

my setup...
internet connection connects to a server running chillispot + radius. it then is connected to an accesspoint. and that accesspoint is connected to another accesspoint via wireless, which I am connected to. is thier anyway around this?

Thanks for any help

Re: ipaddress conflict dhcp

If you can get your 1st access poit to issue another ssid that bypasses chillispot, and then run chillicpot on the second access point which will connect wirelessly to AP1 through ssid2 it should work.

AP1 chillispot interface-uplinkssid-uplinkssidAP2-AP2 chillispot interface-client

I know this work with third party firmware like DD-wrt. Check these two sites.

Re: ipaddress conflict dhcp

Internet -->Server(chillispot)--by lan->AP1--by wds-->AP2
