Topic: WISPr-Bandwidth-Max-Down/Up attributes

Hi All,

I am using Chillispot 1.0-4 on a Debian Etch system with Freeradius 1.1.3-3.

I have made sure dictionary.chillispot and dictionary.wispr are included in Radius configuration.
I have defined these attributes for a user entry in /etc/freeradius/users file. When I test radius
server with radtest tool, its reply contains the attributes mentioned in the subject and have been
specified for the user account. However when I connect to the hotspot, only the downstream is
limited as it is requested. The upload stream is not limited at all.

I need help to solve this problem.

Thank you for any kind of help in advance.

Cheers,

Re: WISPr-Bandwidth-Max-Down/Up attributes

Hi,

To be really honest I dropped Chillispot for a while as my manager is willing to pay some money for a non-free solution. We have choosen Mikrotik Router OS which has a very well usable hotspot module. I have been playing around with it and found it really good. My boss decided to use Mikrotik with Radius Manager for user management and billing.

However I did not give up on Chillispot either. Anyway I could be of help just let me know please.

Cheers,

Re: WISPr-Bandwidth-Max-Down/Up attributes

hi ,

I am facing the same problem .

I am running the system on FreeBSD 7.0 with pfctl and radius .
I guess then it is an issue with the chilli itself.

Re: WISPr-Bandwidth-Max-Down/Up attributes

I have tested and resolved it.

I run it on coova-chilli v.1.0.12 .

It can limits both download and upload. very niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
